Fundraiser to support 2019 Rising Phoenix Sister Monica Akumah
Sister Monica received a Rising Phoenix Award in 2019, you can hear her Rising Phoenix story here. In the summer of 2022 Sister Monica visited the United States to raise funds for several causes that she passionately supports, and we've created this page to accept charitable donations to support those causes through The Intentional Living Collective, a 501c3 organization. We will pass 100% of donations directly to the cause of choice, and donors will receive a receipt for the charitable donation, which may be tax deductible.

Support Sister Monica's orphans in Ghana
Sev. Sr. Monica, the ninth of eleven children, lives in Assin Fosu Odumasi in the central region of Ghana, Africa. She has been in the sisterhood for 39 years and has dedicated her life through SIJ to helping the children and the elderly. Sister Monica currently cares for (XX) orphans in her village, and a donation for them will directly help her meet the orphanss daily living needs. |
Support orphan Isaac going to University
Isaac, the second born of six children, is one of the village children that Sister Monica cares for. He's a "brilliant boy" and desperately wants to attend University but doesn't have funds to pay for tuition - which is about $700 USD per year. He is doing farming work to raise money for tuition, and a donation for Isaac will directly help pay for the education he dreams of. |
Support the Society of the Infant Jesus (SIJ)
SIJ was founded in 1960 by the late Archbishop John Kwejo Amisah. They provide day to day living support to the needy in their village in Ghana and they bring joy and the word of God to the poor and rich alike. The society supports themselves financially, and a donation to SIJ provides badly needed funds for them to take care of their own living needs. |
